About The Position
The Personal Shopper at Sam’s Club supports Membership by explaining membership benefits, promoting Company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet membership goals. The role fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by locating and scanning merchandise, wrapping and palletizing orders, checking order and invoice accuracy, securing orders until pickup, and following up on out-of-stock items. It also provides Member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting Company offerings. The position maintains facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting and hazardous-material handling procedures, observing steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations. Associates complete assignments by applying policies and resources, coordinating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, managing priorities and deadlines, communicating progress, and responding to change and feedback. The role is expected to uphold Company policies, ethics, and integrity, and to demonstrate respect for individuals, teamwork, accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and a commitment to learning. The position is based at the Sam’s Club location at 3060 Franklin Terrace Dr, Johnson City, Tennessee. The hourly wage range is $17.00 to $25.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specified circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Support Membership by explaining membership benefits, promoting Company products and services, processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, and participating in sales and marketing events to help meet membership goals.
- Maintain facility safety by following safety standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, using proper forklift-spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials properly, following steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations.
- Fulfill Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, locating and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing orders, verifying order and invoice accuracy, securing items for pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; manage priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change and feedback.
- Provide Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting Company products and services.
- Comply with Company policies, procedures, and ethics standards, including implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
