About The Position
The Personal Shopper at Sam’s Club supports Membership by explaining benefits, promoting Company products and services, processing Membership upgrades and credit accounts, participating in sales and marketing events, and working toward Membership goals. The role fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, selecting and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing orders, verifying accuracy, securing items until pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise. It also provides Member service by understanding needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and promoting products and services. The position maintains facility safety by following safety procedures and standards, conducting safety sweeps, using proper forklift-spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials correctly, following steel standards, and addressing or reporting unsafe situations. The associate completes assignments and priorities using company policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; communicates progress; and adapts to change and feedback. The role is expected to uphold company policies, ethics, and values; build trusting relationships and support teammates; act with integrity and accountability; serve Members; make informed decisions; and pursue continuous improvement, learning, and adoption of new technologies and skills.
Responsibilities
- Explain Membership benefits, promote Company products and services, process Membership upgrades and credit accounts, participate in sales and marketing events, and work toward Membership goals.
- Maintain facility safety by following standards and procedures, conducting safety sweeps, following forklift-spotting procedures, properly handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following steel standards, and correcting or reporting unsafe situations.
- Fulfill Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, selecting and scanning items, wrapping and palletizing orders, ensuring order and invoice accuracy, securing items until pickup, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to change and feedback.
- Provide Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and standards of integrity, including implementing related action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
- Build strong relationships, communicate positively, work as a team, and help develop and mentor others.
- Promote accountability, integrity, and informed decision-making while supporting customers, Members, associates, and other stakeholders.
