About The Position

Troy Insurance a Leavitt Group affiliate in Lewiston, ID is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Personal Lines Sales & Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while providing exceptional service and ongoing support to existing clients. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of insurance, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for helping clients protect what matters most. This position requires the ability to build lasting client relationships, identify coverage gaps, recommend insurance solutions, and manage policy servicing activities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
Minimum of 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience.
Strong understanding of personal lines insurance products and coverages.
Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and cross-sell insurance products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing a personal lines book of business.
Established carrier relationships and underwriting knowledge.
Experience working in an independent agency environment.
Insurance designations such as CISR, CIC, or CPRIA.

Responsibilities

Generate new business through referrals, cross-selling opportunities, lead follow-up, and prospecting efforts.
Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to identify coverage needs and recommend appropriate personal lines products.
Prepare and present insurance quotes for auto, home, umbrella, recreational vehicle, and other personal insurance coverages.
Educate clients on policy options, coverage enhancements, and risk management solutions.
Meet or exceed agency sales and retention goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriting partners.
Manage a portfolio of current personal lines clients and provide proactive client support.
Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails, and service requests.
Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
Assist clients with claims reporting and claim-related inquiries.
Conduct annual policy reviews to ensure coverage remains aligned with clients' needs.
Answer coverage questions and provide professional guidance regarding policy terms and conditions.
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and policy activities within agency management systems.
Deliver an exceptional client experience through professional, timely, and responsive communication.
Build trust and long-term relationships with clients, carriers, and company partners.
Collaborate effectively with team members to support agency growth and client retention.
Manage multiple priorities while meeting established deadlines and service standards.
