About The Position

Amwins is seeking a Production Underwriter for its nationwide E&S Binding Authority Personal Lines Insurance division, Amwins Access. The underwriter will create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business, build relationships with retail agents to generate new business, and identify insurance company offerings and markets or lines to write. Requirements

2–3 years of E&S binding authority experience.
Knowledge of the sales process and pipeline management.
Ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Insurance license preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business.
Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through traditional and creative marketing strategies.
Stay up to date with insurance company offerings and determine how to leverage them.
Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write using sales techniques based on trust and relationship building.
Mentor and train new team members.
