About The Position

Amwins is seeking a Production Underwriter for its nationwide E&S Binding Authority Commercial Lines Insurance division, Amwins Access. The underwriter creates and manages a profitable book of new and renewal business, develops relationships with retail agents to generate new business, and stays informed about insurance company offerings and opportunities to leverage them. The role also involves identifying new markets or lines of business, mentoring and training team members, and contributing to a collaborative, relationship-focused culture.

Requirements

2–3 years of E&S binding authority experience.
Knowledge of the sales process and pipeline management.
Ability to travel.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Insurance license preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business.
Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through traditional and creative marketing strategies.
Stay up to date with new insurance company offerings and determine how to leverage them.
Prospect for new business markets and/or lines using sales techniques based on trust and relationship building.
Mentor and train new team members.
