Personal Caregiver (PCA)
About The Position
Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE is hiring a Personal Caregiver in Eckert, Colorado. The role provides compassionate, non-skilled personal, restorative, and supportive care to participants in their homes and at the Day Center. Caregivers also assist with routine household activities and support Day Center activities. Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE serves people age 55 and older, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes and communities through personalized, comprehensive care delivered by interdisciplinary teams. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., with occasional weekends. Pay is $18.50–$22.50 per hour, based on previous work experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
- Active CPR/First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living at home and in the Day Center, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care, and toileting, as assigned or needed.
- Provide non-skilled restorative and supportive care at home and in the Day Center, including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, and personal care, as assigned or needed.
- Assist with independent activities of daily living, including grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation, and other routine household care, as assigned.
- Assist with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
- Perform other duties as required or requested.
