About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Personal Care Worker to support one of our clients with 1-on-1 in-home care in Hudson, WI. As a Personal Care Worker, you’ll provide hands-on support while creating a safe, positive, and respectful environment for the people we serve. We offer morning and evening shifts. Every other weekend may be required, depending on client needs. Schedules vary based on client needs. Our Human Resources team will work with you to find a schedule that fits your availability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Proof of insurance and reliable transportation required.
• Dependable and responsible.
• Compassionate and respectful.
• Comfortable working with a variety of individuals, needs, routines, and behaviors.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creating a welcoming environment that supports clients’ individual needs, goals, and self-expression.
• Monitoring clients and providing support based on their individual needs.
• Assisting with or providing personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hair care, and oral hygiene.
• Preparing meals and performing light housekeeping.
• Providing transportation to activities and medical appointments.
• Building positive relationships with clients and learning their individual routines, preferences, behaviors, and communication styles.
• Treating every client with dignity, patience, and respect.
• Working collaboratively with coworkers, managers, and other members of the care team.
