About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Worker (PCW) to provide 1-on-1 in-home care in Hudson, WI. This role involves supporting clients to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. The position focuses on creating a safe, positive, and respectful environment, utilizing positive behavior support plans, and assisting with daily routines and personal care. We offer paid training for candidates without prior caregiving experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
  • Proof of insurance and reliable transportation required.
  • Dependable and responsible.
  • Compassionate and respectful.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of individuals, needs, routines, and behaviors.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous caregiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment that supports clients’ individual needs, goals, and self-expression.
  • Monitor clients and provide support based on their individual needs.
  • Utilize positive behavior support plans to minimize behavioral disruptions, helping clients stay on track with daily routines and safely navigate moments of distress.
  • Assist with or provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, hair care, and oral hygiene.
  • Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
  • Provide transportation to activities and medical appointments.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and learn their individual routines, preferences, behaviors, and communication styles.
  • Treat every client with dignity, patience, and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers, managers, and other members of the care team.
