About The Position

RISE Personal Care Specialists provide one-on-one assistance to patients and/or customers throughout their visit to the retail area. They create a friendly, welcoming experience and use strong product knowledge to help each person choose products and consumption methods suited to their needs. The role includes educating patients and customers about products, consumption methods, and safety; supporting retail operations and compliance; and completing duties at assigned front-of-house, back-of-house, and maintenance workstations. The position involves customer-facing work in a dispensary, including operating point-of-sale systems, preparing orders, handling inventory, and maintaining the store's cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Specialists must follow applicable cannabis regulations, company procedures, security measures, and confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA requirements. Work may involve outdoor conditions, exposure to cannabis or allergens, and physical tasks such as moving inventory weighing up to 30 pounds.

Requirements

At least one year of customer service experience.
Meet scheduling and availability requirements, including varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
Have reliable and dependable attendance.
Be at least 21 years old.
Pass required background checks, including state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
Possess a valid driver's license or state ID.
Remain compliant with legal and company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
Be able to move about the dispensary, remain stationary when needed, communicate directly with individuals and groups, operate point-of-sale systems and office productivity equipment, prepare orders, inspect and receive detailed information, and move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
Listen well and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with varied audiences.
Follow instructions and incorporate constructive criticism from managers.
Maintain professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements.

Nice To Haves

Specialty, customer-facing retail experience.
Prior knowledge of cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, GTI products, and cannabis therapies.
Previous experience with point-of-sale systems.
Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes, organizational rules, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

Engage with and assist patients and/or customers in a customer-facing retail environment.
Educate patients and/or customers about products, consumption methods, and safety.
Use product and consumption-method knowledge to recommend a safe and effective regimen suited to each patient's or customer's needs.
Remain up to date on product knowledge.
Promote a positive, communicative, patient- and customer-oriented work environment.
Assist in verifying the accuracy of order deliveries.
Support the management team in keeping retail operations running smoothly and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and handling reported issues or complaints involving patient information.
Enforce and uphold local and state cannabis regulations.
Keep the sales floor stocked and the store's appearance maintained and compliant.
Maintain hard-copy files as required.
Follow security measures and safety compliance procedures.
Complete assigned workstation duties during scheduled shifts, including front-of-house check-in, sales floor, point of sale, curbside, and roll-through duties; back-of-house fulfillment, receiving, replenishment, and inventory counts; and dispensary maintenance.
Uphold dispensary cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
