About The Position

Cypress at Home is expanding its services beyond residents of Cypress Cove to people in the greater Fort Myers area. Personal Care Assistants provide support to older adults in their homes, helping them remain independent and maintain quality of life. The position is PRN and available immediately; full-time work may become available in the future. Weekend availability is required, candidates must be willing to travel between clients or locations, and a CPR license is required. The rate of pay is $15.39 per hour.

Services may include companionship, pet care and dog walking, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, personal care, support with medical appointments, and transportation support.

Requirements

• Have a genuine desire to work with elderly people.
• Hold a CPR license.
• Be available to work weekends.
• Be willing to travel between locations and clients.
• Be free from health problems that may be injurious to patients, oneself, or coworkers, and provide appropriate evidence to substantiate this.
• Comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
• Understand and respect clients’ ethics and confidentiality of care.
• Pass a clean criminal history background check.
• Be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull; move client weight up to 250 pounds; and lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
• Be able to adequately document care provided in English.
