About The Position

Scenic Living Communities is a continuing care retirement community in Iowa Falls, Iowa, offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. The community is seeking a part-time Personal Care Assistant (Caregiver) to support tenants’ continued well-being. The role provides assistance with personal care, social and recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks as needed. The scheduled hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with every other weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with elderly people.
• Experience providing assistance with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to tenants as assigned and indicated on their service plans.
• Assist tenants with medications and/or treatments as indicated in the medication record, as assigned and allowed by regulation.
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed.
• Assist with individual tenant and group social and recreational activities as requested.
• Encourage tenants to participate in activities.
