About The Position

Eminence Home Care of Maryland is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care and support to patients in their homes or in a healthcare facility. The role helps ensure patients receive high-quality care and support to live their best lives. The position requires compassion, effective communication, reliability, and the ability to work independently under the direction of a team leader or manager while maintaining consistent communication. Candidates should be able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure, fast-paced, time-sensitive situations and communicate effectively with other health professionals in the presence of patients.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Proof of up-to-date immunizations and a negative TB test.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to think and work independently under the direction of a team leader or manager while maintaining efficient and consistent communications.
Excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other health professionals in the presence of patients.
Ability to endure high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Personal Care Aide or in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist patients with mobility and transfers.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and cleaning.
