About The Position

Eminence Home Care of Maryland is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care and support to patients in their homes or in a healthcare facility. The PCA helps ensure patients receive quality, empathetic care and supports their dignity and independence. The role involves personal care, mobility assistance, companionship, meal support, and light housekeeping. Compensation is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Personal Care Aide or in a similar role is preferred.
Compassionate and caring attitude.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
Reliability and punctuality.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Proof of up-to-date immunizations and a negative TB test.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to think and work independently with direction from a team leader or manager.
Excellent oral communication skills and bedside manner when speaking with other health professionals in patients' presence.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Assist with patient mobility and transfers.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
