About The Position
A&C Private Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients in Gainesville, Georgia. The role involves helping immobile, recovering, or frail clients with personal care and daily routines while offering companionship, comfort, and support. Caregivers help maintain a safe, hygienic home environment and report changes in clients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions to relevant parties. Prior home-care experience is preferred but not required; training and support are provided. CPR certification and an up-to-date TB test are required before starting, though the employer will help candidates obtain them. The position pays $16–$17 per hour and offers flexible scheduling and benefits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification before starting.
- Up-to-date TB test or willingness to obtain one before starting.
- Flexible schedule availability.
- Ability to manage and organize clients’ routines effectively.
- Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and errands.
- Dependable and punctual, with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
Nice To Haves
- At least two years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Prior home-care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, companionship, and comfort to immobile, recovering, or frail clients.
- Report changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to relevant parties.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
- Engage clients in suitable activities, such as games, walks, and conversations.
- Perform basic housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients with household finances, bills, and payments, and run errands.
- Accompany clients on outings and arrange transportation to medical appointments.
- Provide mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
- Maintain a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
- Use safe transfer techniques and respect clients’ dignity and comfort during personal care.
