About The Position

A&C Private Home Care is hiring a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients in East Point, Georgia. The role involves assisting clients who are immobile, recovering, or frail with personal care, daily routines, household tasks, mobility, errands, and companionship. Caregivers help clients maintain a safe, hygienic environment and report changes in their physical, mental, or emotional condition to relevant parties. The employer offers flexible scheduling, training and support, and a pay rate of $15–$16 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification before starting.
• Must have an up-to-date TB test or be willing to obtain one before beginning work.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to manage and organize clients’ routines effectively.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and errands.
• Compassionate, dependable, and punctual.
• At least two years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Prior home care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, companionship, and comfort to immobile, recovering, or frail clients.
• Report changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to relevant parties.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
• Engage clients in suitable activities, such as games, walks, or conversation.
• Perform basic housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with household finances, bills, payments, and errands.
• Accompany clients on outings and arrange transportation to medical appointments.
• Provide mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintain a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
• Perform transfers safely and respectfully, preserving clients’ dignity and communicating about their comfort and needs.
