About The Position

A&C Private Home Care is hiring a Personal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide in Winder to provide compassionate, personalized, one-on-one support to clients who are immobile, recovering, or frail. The role includes assisting clients with daily activities, offering companionship and comfort, and helping maintain a safe, hygienic environment. Caregivers report changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to relevant parties and communicate with clients about their comfort and needs. Prior home-care experience is preferred but not required; training and support are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Ability to manage and organize clients’ routines effectively.
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and errands.
• CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification before starting.
• Current TB test, or willingness to obtain one before beginning work.
• Dependable, punctual, compassionate, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, companionship, and comfort to immobile, recovering, or frail clients.
• Report changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to relevant parties.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
• Engage clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, and having conversations.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Assist clients with household finances, bills, and payments, and run errands.
• Accompany clients on outings and arrange transportation to medical appointments.
• Provide mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintain a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
• Use safe techniques during transfers and respect clients’ dignity during personal care.
• Communicate with clients to understand their comfort levels and changes in their needs.
