Rockdale & Newton County - Personal Care Assistant (PCA)/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
ABA Homecare, LLC is seeking compassionate, supportive, and dedicated PCAs/CNAs to provide high-quality care to clients aged 18 and older who have disabilities, need post-surgical care, or have cognitive impairments. The role provides in-home safety supervision and assistance with activities of daily living to help clients maintain independence. Shifts are available in Conyers and Covington, with four 7-hour shifts on weekends. Compensation is $15.50–$18.00, with an incentive increase after a 90-day probationary period. On-the-job training may be available. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience supporting adults with disabilities, post-surgical care needs, or cognitive impairment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a PCA training program (GACCP) and CNA training/competency; on-the-job training may also be provided.
- Sympathetic attitude toward caring for sick and elderly people.
- Ability to carry out directions, read, and write.
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- TB test within the last 6 months.
- CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, serving meals, helping clients eat, turning, and ambulating.
- Take vital signs when needed.
- Assess clients’ mental status daily, including whether they are alert and oriented.
- Examine clients for bruising, signs of trauma, blood in urine, and other injuries or wounds.
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members.
- Assist with bedpans, emptying urine bags, and changing clients who are incontinent.
- Support safe transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Clean and sanitize client areas, including changing bed sheets.
- Stay current on PCA/CNA training, policies, and procedures.
