About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to provide personalized, home-based support that helps seniors live safely and happily at home. The role includes personal care, assistance with daily activities, household support, transportation, companionship, and monitoring clients’ well-being. The position offers $19–$22 per hour, one-to-one aide-to-client ratios, and the ability to set your own schedule. Requirements

HHA certificate showing 75-hour core competencies.
CNA license.
Valid Indiana driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document clients’ condition, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
Help ensure a safe home environment by keeping pathways unobstructed.
Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
