About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Mulvane, Kansas, to provide personalized, home-based care to seniors who need support with daily activities. The role focuses on helping clients live safely at home while offering companionship and activities that bring them joy. Caregivers work with a 1:1 aide-to-client ratio and can set their own schedule.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent in Kansas.
- Auto insurance and transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support so seniors can live safely at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment by ensuring pathways are unobstructed.
- Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
