About The Position

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a full-time Caregiver in Assisted Living. The Caregiver supports residents with attentive, compassionate, person-centered care that promotes dignity, choice, independence, and overall wellbeing in an active adult living environment. The role also covers Seasons Memory Care and Assisted Living and is performed in accordance with California Title 22 (RCFE) regulations and community standards.

The schedule is Monday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Wednesday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, Thursday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, and Friday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM. Compensation is $19.00–$20.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a compassionate, service-oriented, team-focused approach.
• Ability to safely use mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and basic household appliances.
• Basic computer skills, including email and electronic documentation.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, or a related setting.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire as required by Title 22.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and continence care, while honoring their preferences, privacy, and dignity.
• Support resident mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers, using mobility aids and approved lifting techniques safely.
• Assist with mealtime service, including meal delivery, setup, cueing, and feeding as permitted.
• Respond promptly and professionally to call systems, alerts, and resident requests.
• Observe, document, and immediately report changes in residents’ physical condition, cognitive status, or emotional wellbeing to appropriate licensed or supervisory staff.
• Provide care-related light housekeeping, including laundry, bed making, and tidying residents’ living spaces.
• Encourage residents, as appropriate, to participate in maintaining their living spaces to promote independence and safety.
• Offer companionship and engage residents in conversation, recreational programming, and social activities.
• Promote participation in community life and help foster a vibrant, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere.
• Follow community policies, infection control practices, resident rights, confidentiality standards, and applicable Title 22 requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
