Caregiver
About The Position
We are looking for dedicated, passionate caregivers to provide one-on-one care for elderly clients and people recovering from surgery, injuries, or accidents. Caregiving supports clients’ comfort and daily needs while providing peace of mind to their families. Applicants should bring excellent customer service, patience, kindness, empathy, organizational skills, and time management skills. Caregivers must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations and uphold health and safety standards. Requirements
- Excellent customer service, patience, kindness, empathy, organizational skills, and time management skills.
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and be eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Availability to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or experience as a caregiver.
- Take pride in providing high-quality care.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment; preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
- Help clients move around their home or outside, including attending doctor’s appointments and going for walks.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals, and help with physical therapy exercises.
- Complete clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report unusual incidents.
- Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Assist clients with activities essential to daily living, including serving meals and related tasks when necessary.
