About The Position

Salus is seeking Personal Care Assistants/Caregivers for an ongoing case with a female client in Canoga Park. The listed case is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is available to start as soon as possible. The posting also notes that part-time shifts of 4–6 hours and full-time shifts of 8–12 hours are available, with pay rates varying by shift type.

Requirements

Home Care Aide (HCA) certification; California requires registration as a Personal Attendant and Live Scan fingerprinting for an FBI background check. Salus can assist with this process if the applicant is not currently certified.
TB test completed within 90 days of the start date.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical ability to perform all job functions.
Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving clients.

Responsibilities

Serve as a companion to clients.
Arrive at clients’ homes on time.
Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed.
Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, and activities.
Turn and reposition patients and move them between beds, wheelchairs, and seats.
Adapt flexibly to meet clients’ needs.
Maintain the confidentiality of client information according to HIPAA standards.
Notify the office of abnormal findings or conditions.
Represent the company positively at all times.
