Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has an immediate opening for a full-time Permit Technician in the Torrance, CA area. Requirements
- Two (2) or more years as a Permit Technician required.
- Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs regularly and up to 25lbs occasionally.
Nice To Haves
- ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician) preferred.
- Knowledge of permitting software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone.
- Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Calculate and collect permit fees.
- Process and issue building permits.
- Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance.
- Assist the public with completing permit applications.
- Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained.
- Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready.
- Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval.
- Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints.
