About The Position

As a Permit Coordinator at South West Plumbing, you will coordinate, prepare, and track HVAC, electrical, and plumbing permits to ensure applications are accurate, submitted on time, and compliant with local regulations. You will work closely with dispatchers, managers, technicians, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate approvals, maintain organized records, and support daily operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience pulling, tracking, and managing permits.
• Coordination experience.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high-volume workload while staying organized.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a group setting.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and government or utility entities.
• Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dispatchers and business unit managers to schedule and file permits for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing projects.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local city municipalities, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Track permit application status and follow up with municipal authorities to expedite approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of permit requests, approvals, expirations, and renewals.
• Communicate with project managers, technicians, and other stakeholders about permit status and resolve issues.
• Assist in developing and maintaining internal processes and documentation related to permit management.
• Stay informed about changes in local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations that may affect permitting.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with municipal authorities, inspectors, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.
