About The Position

The Perishable Stocker stocks merchandise in its assigned location according to management’s shelf allocation and helps maintain product freshness, quality, and accurate pricing. The role includes assisting customers, unloading trucks, keeping sales-floor and stockroom areas clean and organized, and handling product and packaging. The position requires on-site attendance during scheduled shifts and the ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks while interacting with individuals at various levels.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
• Ability to maintain constant contact and interact with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

• Stocking experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise in its proper location according to management’s shelf allocation.
• Provide efficient and courteous customer service.
• Return misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Unload trucks.
• Sweep and mop all store areas.
• Check shelf labels to ensure pricing accuracy.
• Keep the stockroom neat and clean.
• Remove and dispose of trash properly.
• Rotate merchandise while stocking to maintain freshness and quality.
• Clean and straighten shelves.
• Hang shelf tags.
• Stack product in the stockroom.
• Bale boxes.
