About The Position

The Peripheral Equipment Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of peripheral devices at the NASA center. This position involves the setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting of equipment such as printers, scanners, and other auxiliary hardware to maintain optimal performance. The operator will collaborate closely with IT and production teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential to prevent disruptions and maintain data integrity. Ultimately, this role contributes to the seamless integration of peripheral technology within the organization's workflow, supporting overall productivity and service delivery. This position will require the ability to unpack, pick up, and carry packages and materials up to 40lbs.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating peripheral equipment in a manufacturing or office environment.

• Experience with inventory management and equipment tracking systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor peripheral equipment including printers, scanners, and other auxiliary devices to ensure continuous functionality.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend device lifespan.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize operational downtime.
• Coordinate with IT support and other departments to escalate complex problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and incidents for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while handling and operating equipment.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new peripheral devices as required.
