About The Position

The Equipment Operator operates routine production machinery according to provided prints and specifications, producing parts within established quantities, specifications, and tolerances. The role measures finished parts with precision tools and inspects equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment. It also includes basic adjustments and maintenance, maintaining production records, reporting errors, and keeping the work area clean and safe.

Requirements

• Typically, a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machinery.
• Fundamental understanding of production equipment or the ability to learn it quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate routine production machinery in accordance with provided prints and specifications.
• Carry out routine production activities to produce the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintain logs and records of units produced and report errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment, and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
