About The Position
Chattanooga Pain Surgery Center is a physician-owned, Joint Commission-accredited facility in Hixson, Tennessee. Its modern facility has one operating room and two treatment rooms and uses advanced technology for specialized pain-management procedures. The center is committed to high-quality, compassionate care in a service-oriented, patient-focused environment. The full-time Perioperative RN provides care for patients undergoing pain-relieving surgical procedures, working with the surgical team to support patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the perioperative process. The role may involve cross-training in preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement patient care during the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with anesthesia administration.
- Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment and follow infection-control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
