About The Position

State Street’s Performance & Analytics Product Development team is seeking a Product Owner to work with Product, Technology, and Service Delivery teams to design and deliver performance and analytics solutions. The role drives development initiatives for new capabilities and serves as a subject matter expert, translating complex business needs into clear product requirements and owning end-to-end delivery from story creation through production rollout. The position is part of the Institutional Services function, which serves asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, and official institutions globally. The Product Owner leads product development and delivery activities for Private Markets Performance & Analytics, coordinating across internal teams and communicating progress and roadmaps to senior leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of Performance & Analytics.
Strong knowledge of Investment Accounting and the Financial Services space.
Experience in Financial Services, Investment Analysis, Asset Management, or related fields.
Experience in product development, product management, business analysis, investment operations, or software solutions.
Expertise in Investment Performance & Analytics.
Experience working with Investment Accounting data and services.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to act as a persuasive change agent.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills in quantitative and technical domains.
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and priorities.
Ability to articulate product capabilities and benefits to teammates, senior management, clients, and colleagues in technology and service delivery.
Experience with advanced data analysis and large data sets, as well as strong SQL skills.

Nice To Haves

Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, CIPM, CAIA, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile teams and business analysis teams as Product Owner, ensuring functionality is prioritized and delivered as expected.
Lead workflow, data, and requirements analysis for current- and future-state models, and ensure product integration with upstream and downstream applications.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Private Markets Performance & Analytics.
Develop product roadmaps, business cases, project objectives, operating models, product designs, product requirements, process flows, and wireframes.
Define and maintain project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, architecture, and cross-product dependencies.
Collaborate with Product, Technology, Service Delivery, and other internal stakeholders to develop and roll out new products and capabilities.
Support product testing, including user acceptance testing, test cases, and test data.
Drive product readiness for new capabilities and enhancements, including release notes, documentation, training, and governance activities.
Communicate product development activities, project status, and product roadmaps to senior leadership.
