About The Position

The Vice President, Strategy & Analytics leads Cresa’s Strategy & Analytics practice within Global Portfolio Solutions (GPS). This is a hands-on player-coach role responsible for setting the practice’s direction while personally delivering and reviewing client work and working directly with advisors. The role aims to grow advisor adoption, establish a sustainable commercial model, and develop the team. The Vice President drives innovation and serves as Cresa’s subject matter expert on real estate analytics. The role leads the Strategy & Analytics offering, including its capabilities catalog, service packaging and scoping, funding and measurement model, and progress toward financial targets. It also promotes advisor adoption, leads complex client engagements, develops analysts, governs data and tools, and partners across the firm to incorporate analytics consistently into proposals, pursuits, and client delivery. This is a remote position requiring extended periods of computer work and a reliable home office setup. Periodic travel is required for client meetings, advisor market meetings, and team sessions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Track record of building or growing an analytics service line within a brokerage, consultancy, or corporate real estate function, with accountability for financial results.
  • Hands-on credibility with geospatial, labor, and visualization tools, including Esri, Lightcast, Alteryx, and Tableau; able to build and review models, not only direct them.
  • Deep understanding of occupier-side commercial real estate, including site selection, portfolio strategy, incentives, and the transaction lifecycle.
  • Practical leadership in AI adoption, having used AI to change how a team works, not only how the individual works.
  • Executive presence and ability to earn the trust of senior advisors and client C-suites.
  • Commitment to developing people, including helping strong performers grow into larger roles.
  • Proven ability to lead and engage a distributed, remote team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation by monitoring analytics platforms, data sources, AI capabilities, and industry trends; testing new tools and methods; and developing new offerings and approaches.
  • Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert and hands-on lead for real estate analytics, translating expertise into clear, defensible answers for advisors and clients.
  • Lead the Strategy & Analytics offering, including its capabilities catalog, service packaging and scoping, and decisions about pursuit-support work versus client engagements.
  • Partner with GPS leadership and finance to define how the practice is funded and measured, including billable work, support for other offices, and influence on wins and retention; own a clear path to financial targets.
  • Drive advisor adoption by representing the practice across offices, running market meetings and working sessions, building a case study library, and engaging the team earlier in pursuits.
  • Lead and present complex engagements, including national market rankings, portfolio rationalization, and board-level recommendations; personally review work for analytical rigor and client readiness.
  • Hire, train, and develop analysts, and establish an operating rhythm for intake, prioritization, and quality across a remote team.
  • Own data and tool governance, including investment decisions, cost management, standards for accuracy and quality control, client data confidentiality, and AI use with client data.
  • Partner with Solutions, Research, Technology, and Project & Development Services to ensure analytics is consistently incorporated into proposals, pursuits, and client delivery.
