About The Position
New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for Interventional Cardiology to join their team. The hospital has a long history of providing outstanding medical care and fosters a culture of 'Putting Patients First'. The cardiac service offers comprehensive interventional cardiovascular care, bringing together a multi-disciplinary panel of specialists. The interventional cardiology PAs are responsible for pre/post-operative evaluations for the cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology, inpatient consults and follow-up including device interrogation, and pre-arrival telehealth evaluations. The department is looking for PAs for weekday shifts only, with 13-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, requiring at least 2-3 shifts per month. All roles require on-site presence, and employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's in Physician Assistant related studies
- NYS PA Licensure
- Current NCCPA Certification
- ACLS/BLS
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance
Nice To Haves
- Cath lab or EP lab experience
Responsibilities
- Provide pre/post-operative evaluation for cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology.
