Physician - Cardiology Interventional
About The Position
Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist who specializes in Invasive - Intervention with a passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures to join us at Indiana Heart Physicians located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The ideal candidate will join a large, equal shares, multi-specialty team of twenty-nine cardiologists, two cardiac hospitalists, and twenty-six advanced practice providers. The candidate should have a passion for PCI and peripheral vascular procedures, clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff are important. The physician will work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within the Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. Indiana Heart Physicians, founded in 1978, serves the communities of South and Central Indiana and is highly integrated with Franciscan Health to provide patient-centered cardiovascular care, utilizing cutting-edge technology and seeking new therapies. The role involves two weeks per month in clinic and two weeks per month rounding in the hospital, with STEMI call 1:6 and Holiday & Weekend Call 1:6. Average outpatient volume is 15-20 patients per day, and average rounding volume is 10-15 patients per day, with over 700 cases performed annually. Common procedures include TAVR, Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair, Cardiac angioplasty and stent placement, Rotational atherectomy, Left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO), and Peripheral vascular procedures. The facility boasts state-of-the-art labs with Phillips systems and minimal travel to outreach locations.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist
- Specialization in Invasive - Intervention
- Passion for PCI and Peripheral vascular procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff
- Doctorate Required
- Physician License (DR/DO) - Upon Hire Required
- Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) - Upon Hire Required
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
