About The Position

New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant for its Urology practice. As a highly skilled clinician and respected colleague, you will be part of a cohesive team dedicated to patient care and advancing the standard of excellence. PAs are integral collaborators, committed to the culture of 'Putting Patients First'. The Urology team manages a full spectrum of urologic disorders, and PAs are involved in procedures related to BPH, ED, kidney stones, infertility, and urologic cancers. The Urology PA will support surgical patients admitted to the hospital and perform urology consultations. Responsibilities include serving as a front-line provider, rounding with surgical attendings, documenting notes, placing orders, and performing bedside procedures. This per diem role requires coverage of all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in inpatient Urology.
• Bachelor’s or Masters in Physician Assistant related studies.
• NYS PA Licensure.
• Current NCCPA Certification.
• ACLS/BLS.
• NYS Infection Control certification.
• DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Cover surgical patients admitted to the hospital.
• Perform urology consultations.
• Serve as front-line providers rounding with surgical attendings.
• Write notes and orders.
• Perform necessary bedside procedures.
