About The Position

Morningstar’s Internship Program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to our mission-driven culture. As a People & Culture Intern, you’ll be part of a cohort of interns across the company, participating in training, mentorship, and networking opportunities while contributing meaningfully to our HR operations. We welcome students from all majors and backgrounds who are curious, collaborative, and passionate about making an impact. This internship is ideal for those interested in exploring a career in Human Resources and gaining exposure to multiple HR domains. The Morningstar Summer Internship Program is created for college students entering their final year as a first step towards successful, long-term careers in any professional field. Participants will contribute to different aspects of Morningstar’s business through ten-week- individual and group projects, learning about the financial services and securities industries, and gaining critical business development skills. Our interns receive hands-on mentoring from their colleagues and the People & Culture team to help them succeed at Morningstar.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (graduating in 2026 or later).
  • Strong interest in Human Resources and organizational development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High level of discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Must possess unrestricted right to work in the U.S. in this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Between 0-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership or involvement in campus organizations or previous internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR operations and service delivery by improving internal processes and documentation.
  • Assist with projects related to analytics, process improvement, program development, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and business partners to support organizational initiatives.
