About The Position

The Morningstar Summer Internship Program is designed for college students entering their final year, serving as a stepping stone towards successful, long-term careers. Interns will engage in ten-week individual and group projects, contributing to various aspects of Morningstar's business. They will gain insights into the financial services and securities industries and develop critical business development skills. The program includes hands-on mentoring from colleagues and the People & Culture team. All positions are based in the Chicago office, requiring a 5-day per week commitment. Interns are placed in diverse teams based on their interests and strengths, with final placement determined through the interview process. Previous teams have included Editorial, Market Intelligence, Product Management, Corporate Design, Manager Research, AI, and Office.

Requirements

  • Between 0-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Currently enrolled in full-time bachelor’s degree program, graduating in the spring or summer of 2027.
  • Must possess unrestricted right to work in the U.S. in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Address a specific Morningstar business problem through thoughtful research, analysis, and creative thinking in an individual project.
  • Collaborate on a ten-week-long group case study and present the results to senior leaders, stakeholders, and managers.
  • Participate in training sessions with Morningstar employees across the company spectrum, building a foundation of knowledge to develop throughout your Morningstar career.
