Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in the public sector or complex organizational HR system with strict policy and procedures, in a Human Resources Position or Role.
  • Two years’ experience working in Applicant Tracking Systems, such as NeoGov (creating job postings, requisitions, and notifying candidates of recruitment).
  • Two years of experience in job recruitment within the public sector or in a complex organizational HR system with strict policy and procedures.
  • Two years of experience managing personnel records within the public sector or in a complex organizational HR system with strict policy and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Organizational Management, Human Resources, or a related field and; One year of professional experience in the State of Colorado Personnel System, in a Human Resources Position or Role and; Six months of experience of job recruiting within the State of Colorado’s applicant tracking system (NeoGov) and; One year of experience managing personnel records within State Government Systems.

  • Actively involved in employee engagement and relations groups, and able to prepare documentation and contribute to meetings related to employee relations groups.
  • Development of performance management documents in compliance with state rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Human resources experience in a state or local, public-sector environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret, apply, and strictly follow complex technical guidance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and employment laws (e.g., Equal Pay for Equal Work, FLSA, ERISA, EEO).
  • Hands-on experience establishing or maintaining records management systems, conducting regular data/file audits, and ensuring strict data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state laws and regulations, personnel theory, and human resource philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Chief of People and Culture and the HR manager to maintain and update positions descriptions.
  • Aids in the staffing management process, including job recruitments, onboarding, and candidate communication.
  • Uses NeoGov to create job postings, requisitions, and notify candidates of recruitment.
  • Aids the HR team in guiding the interviewing process, including screening candidates during Minimum Qualifications (MQ) reviews and arranging discussions with managers.
  • Coordinates complex schedules between managers and candidates using Sign-up Genius and Calendly to overcome logistical hurdles.
  • Provides dedicated administrative support to the Executive, Education, and Admin divisions.
  • Helps support the HR DocuSign account, ensuring documents are processed, saved, and adjusted as needed.
  • Under the direction of the HR Manager, Utilizes CPPS (Colorado Personnel Payroll System) and HRDW (Human Resources Data Warehouse) or COMPASS payroll systems for employee entry and data management, along with UKG timekeeping systems to assist managers and staff.
  • Maintains records management systems, conducting regular data audits to ensure strict data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for the main HR inbox and helps manage the ADA inbox, ensuring employee and candidate communications are handled promptly.
  • Responds to routine employee inquiries, answers candidate emails, and processes ID badge requests via the internal ID Badge Request site.
  • Initiates Docusign’s for routine HR agreements.
  • Prepares documentation and contributes to meetings related to History Colorado's (1HC) culture support and employee equity group.
  • Utilizes online systems such as Kudoboards and Sign-up Genius to help coordinate employee engagement activities and internal events.
