Frontier Behavioral Health (FBH) is a non-profit organization with over 100 years of experience in Spokane, dedicated to understanding and addressing the behavioral health needs of the community. FBH offers evidence-based treatment to adults, youth, and seniors, operating as a Trauma-Informed Care Organization that believes in recovery and empowering clients to lead fulfilling lives. The organization provides a variety of services including outpatient, inpatient, community outreach, and crisis services, often in partnership with schools and law enforcement. The primary goal of these programs is to divert individuals from emergency departments, the criminal justice system, and inpatient psychiatric treatment by maximizing community resources for stabilization. This specific role is part of the Mobile Crisis Assessment and Triage (MCAT) team, which serves individuals aged 21 and older. The MCAT team is a rapid response mobile outreach program that provides services in various community settings to stabilize individuals during crisis events. Peer Support Specialists are integral to this program, focusing on recovery, self-advocacy, developing natural supports, maintaining community living skills, and promoting self-sufficiency.
