About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor in Tennessee to join our Substance Use Disorder Program. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about recovery, who believe in the power of lived experience, and are dedicated to supporting those navigating substance use challenges. The position requires compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help individuals create positive, lasting change. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and values trauma-informed care. Flexibility and autonomy are key, with the ability to work both remotely and in the community.

Requirements

  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist/CPRS in Tennessee
  • Previous Management Experience
  • Minimum of two years of active recovery
  • Previous experience working from home and organizing daily/weekly tasks
  • Self-motivated, team player, adaptability
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency; must be able to type and navigate a Cloud-based environment and designated teleconferencing application.
  • Must reside in TN

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor and role model for individuals at various stages of recovery, drawing from lived experience to provide guidance, encouragement, and support.
  • Guide and support Peer Recovery Specialists, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Follow Substance Use Disorder Program guidelines to assess needs, plan care, and complete screenings.
  • Connect members to valuable community resources and services.
  • Collaborate closely with care teams, including primary care providers, managed care organizations, and community partners.
  • Help create a supportive, recovery-focused environment grounded in empathy and respect.
  • Partner with leadership and the enrollment team to grow the census and identify eligible members to enroll in the program.
  • Act as a player/coach for a team of peers, modeling and exemplifying company core values.
  • Lead and manage a team of peers, taking responsibility for overall team success, including driving alignment with operations and clinical teams.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the peers, including regular 1:1s, team meetings, and case conferences.
  • Engage in ongoing performance management and coaching of team members to ensure all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner, including disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Maintain a small caseload and provide backup to peers for clinical care during PTO, staff shortages, etc.
  • Conduct meaningful outreach, provide education, and drive member enrollment.
  • Collaborate with members, families, and healthcare providers to develop an individualized recovery action plan.
  • Identify and initiate referrals for social service programs, including financial, psycho-social, community, and state supportive services.
  • Complete documentation for client engagements, cancellations, and care plans.
  • Provide support to clients through a variety of settings and assist with support groups, as needed.
  • Advocate for members and families to ensure patient needs and choices are fully represented and supported by the healthcare team.
  • Represent and promote the Substance Use Disorder Program/Mindoula through participation and interaction with community and professional organizations, and community outreach efforts.
  • Achieve set goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and utilization management rounds, providing information to assist with safe transitions of care.
  • Provide peer recovery support through the on-call crisis line.
  • Promote responsible and ethical stewardship of company resources.
  • Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance during work hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
