The Doe Fund is seeking a Peer Specialist for its newest permanent supportive housing program in White Plains, NY. This program is designed for homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS, offering long-term residential care and supportive services in a community environment. The residence will house 49 individuals referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and 49 units for moderate-income households. The Peer Specialist will provide mentoring, advocacy, care coordination, support, and direct assistance with daily living activities, leveraging their personal life experience with substance abuse, mental health treatment, and the HIV/AIDS population.
