Peer Leader / Workshop Facilitator

WellCentric DC•Butte-Silver Bow, MT
•$750 - $1,200

About The Position

The DC Living Well Program provides evidence-based workshops to help adults living with chronic health conditions and their caregivers build skills to manage health and improve quality of life. WellCentric Health is recruiting Peer Leaders, Master Trainers, and Senior Master Trainers to expand workshops in Washington, DC. Facilitators foster a supportive learning environment, encourage participation, and help participants apply self-management skills. They work alongside another trained leader to deliver a six-week workshop series in one or more programs for which they have completed training: Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP), Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP), or Cancer: Thriving and Surviving (CTS). Facilitators report to the WellCentric Health program team; the job listing also identifies the Chief Operating Officer (COO) as the reporting role. Compensation is paid for each completed six-week series: $750 for a Peer Leader, $1,000 for a Master Trainer, and $1,200 for a Senior Master Trainer. These amounts cover the entire series, not each session, and payment is issued after the series is completed. Applicants should state their trainer designation, completed SMRC training, and the programs they are qualified to facilitate. Applicants interested in becoming Peer Leaders should indicate willingness to complete required training. The position is a 1099 contractor role. Each series has one approximately 2.5-hour session per week for six weeks, plus preparation, participant communications, and documentation time. Facilitators may be assigned to multiple series in a week depending on program needs, qualifications, and availability, and must be able to commit to all sessions in each accepted series. Dates and locations are confirmed before assignments are accepted. The work environment has moderate noise, and the position involves handling highly sensitive information. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
