About The Position

A thriving academic institution is seeking a Pediatrician for a role in Saginaw, MI. This Health System is very connected to public health and is in an area with a diverse span of people. They utilize innovative staff and treatment modalities and have wonderful teamwork that is focused on patient safety. This is a 268-bed, non-profit, academic medical center located in Saginaw, MI. It is an accredited level II trauma center and a certified primary stroke center. A full complement of surgical and medical specialty support is available. This role involves a full scope primary care clinic with medical students and residency training on site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient services as well as working with medical students and program residents. This opportunity provides flexibility to fit candidates into the appropriate setting for the success of the program as well as the development of the candidate. We welcome and encourage all Pediatric subspecialties.

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • State of Michigan licensed or eligible
  • Board-eligible or certified in Pediatrics
  • Visa Sponsorship as needed. J1 or H1B

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical care and treatment for children and adolescents, including, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Perform medical procedures as indicated.
  • Opportunity to teach, treat and lead positive change throughout the region.
  • This role includes resident and medical student education.
