About The Position

The Pediatric APRN or PA, full-time schedule, with Rx Direct Pt Care, in collaboration with Surgeons and a team of General Surgery/Trauma APPs, provides for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. Join our established team of 10 physicians and 20 APPs. Practice setting: inpatient. Employed position within a nonprofit health system. Deliver compassionate, specialized care by conducting thorough patient assessments, history reviews, and physical examinations to accurately diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions. Drive informed clinical decisions by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies to create precise, individualized treatment plans for our youngest patients. Empower families and caregivers through tailored education and counseling on preventative health, treatment pathways, and vital community resources. Document the patient care journey with meticulous precision, ensuring seamless continuity of care and strict adherence to specialty and network standards. Collaborate seamlessly with attending physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive pediatric surgical healthcare services.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Master's degree of Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
  • Acute Care Certifications for all APRNs
  • 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider

Responsibilities
