About The Position

Our cardiovascular surgery team performs a high number of coronary bypass surgeries every year to treat coronary artery disease (CAD). We are leaders in this procedure and other techniques that provide life-altering results. At Trinity Oakland's cardiovascular surgery department, we are: Innovative: We’re one of the only programs in the Midwest to use the da Vinci® robotic surgery system for both coronary artery bypass grafting and mitral valve repair. Experienced: We perform one of the highest volumes of complex aortic surgeries in all of Michigan. Collaborative: Our heart surgeons and cardiologists work side-by-side in our hybrid ORs to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures. Advanced: We’re one of the only programs in Michigan to offer the latest Ross procedure for aortic valve replacement. Successful: As leaders in cardiovascular surgery, we exceed national safety measures, with excellent outcomes and low complication rates. Patient-centered: We do more TAVR procedures using conscious sedation than any program in the state, meaning fewer complications and a shorter recovery for you. Compassionate: You’ll receive care from a team of dedicated nurse navigators, cardiologists and surgeons. We make sure you’re informed and comfortable before, during and after your procedure.
