We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions across our Richmond, VA locations in Mechanicsville, Midlothian, and Short Pump. At KidMed, you'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient: Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25 Opportunity to perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc. Ability to treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days old Anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress Cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm In-house clinic for: suction, DME, IV fluids, and blood draws, injectable meds, and lab work Support for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialists

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
  • Valid license to practice as a NP/PA in the state of Virginia
  • Valid DEA License (if applicable)
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Experience in pediatrics

  • Emergency/Urgent Care experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures: laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc.
  • Treat fevers from the source with work-up down to 29 days old
  • Provide anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress care
  • Manage cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools
  • Address Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm conditions
  • Utilize in-house clinic services for suction, DME, IV fluids, blood draws, injectable meds, and lab work
  • Provide support for direct admits and navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up
