About The Position

We are seeking a Board-certified Pediatric Hospitalist for locum tenens coverage in Winchester, VA. This inpatient role involves providing care for patients on a 17-bed pediatric floor and in the newborn nursery, supporting approximately 2400 annual deliveries. The position requires 24-hour shifts with rounding and call, with block scheduling available. You will collaborate with daytime Advanced Practice Providers and a network of pediatric sub-specialists, and engage in teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements

• Board-certified in Pediatrics
• Active Virginia License
• Minimum 1 year clinical activity
• 6 months experience in pediatric hospitalist
• Pre-screen questionnaire
• Detailed CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
• Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients on a 17-bed pediatric floor and in the newborn nursery (supporting ~2400 annual deliveries)
• Round on patients during 24-hour shifts, including call from home/hotel
• Collaborate with daytime Advanced Practice Providers and a network of pediatric sub-specialists (UVA, INOVA, Children's National)
• Engage in teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Participate in block scheduling for per diem coverage
