About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist/Inpatient Pediatrician to join a physician led organization in a community practice. This position is solely inpatient. Hospitalists work 12-hour shifts in-house, 24 weeks per year. Requirements

  • Board certified/board eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies.
  • Resuscitation of newborns.
  • Care of healthy newborns.
  • Day-to-day management of babies in the Special Care Nursery.
  • Care of hospitalized children.
  • Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax.
  • Direct patient care.
  • Opportunities for educating advanced practice providers, medical students, and Family Medicine residents.
