About The Position

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a PRN Pediatric Hospitalist to help establish a new pediatric hospitalist program at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. As a founding physician, the successful candidate will help develop clinical workflows and the program, and contribute to a culture of excellence.

The role supports the hospital’s 8-bed general pediatric unit and provides comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, daily patient management, discharge planning, care coordination, and pediatric emergency department consultations. The hospitalist collaborates with specialists and multidisciplinary teams and works with nursing, care management, hospital leadership, and physician colleagues to promote best practices and optimize patient outcomes. Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics.
• PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Prior pediatric inpatient or hospitalist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including pediatric admissions and daily patient management.
• Plan discharges and coordinate patient care.
