Pediatric Hospitalist - PRN - Mease Countryside Hospital
About The Position
BayCare Medical Group is seeking a PRN Pediatric Hospitalist to support and help shape a new pediatric hospitalist program at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida. The founding physician will help establish clinical workflows, influence program development, and contribute to a culture of excellence. The role supports the hospital’s 8-bed general pediatric unit and a service focused on quality, efficiency, and family-centered care. The position provides comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including admissions and daily patient management, discharge planning and care coordination, pediatric emergency department consultations, and collaboration with specialists and multidisciplinary teams. The hospitalist will work with nursing, care management, hospital leadership, and physician colleagues to promote best practices and optimize patient outcomes. The role offers opportunities to contribute to program development, quality initiatives, process creation, and team culture.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics.
- PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Prior pediatric inpatient or hospitalist experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
