About The Position

Seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, providing supplemental coverage. The position requires the physician to manage a patient volume of approximately 2, with 2 admissions per day. Rounding is included. The physician will work alongside a full-time local pediatrician and will have access to 24-hour support services including Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Cath Lab, General Surgery, Lab, Neuro-Surgery, OR Response Time, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology & Vascular Surgery. The support staff includes front office staff, a dedicated medical assistant, and a dedicated office manager. The department has 8 beds and a Level I Nursery. The EMR systems used are Athena for the clinic and Medhost for the hospital. Hospital privileges are required.

Requirements

• Active AZ License or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• PALS certification
• Ability to cover both inpatient and outpatient services
• Must be experienced

• Experience with newborn ventilation management
• Experience with newborn intubation
• Experience with circumcisions

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care.
• Manage patient volume of approximately 2.
• Handle approximately 2 admissions per day.
• Perform rounding.
• Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries.
• Manage non-invasive ventilation (bipap/cpap).
• Manage acute ventilation in newborns.
• Perform intubation (ENT/INT) in newborns.
• Perform circumcisions (preferred).
