About The Position
Children's Home Healthcare provides pediatric home healthcare for medically complex children and is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to care for pediatric patients, with cases ranging from low to high acuity. Nurses provide patient treatment and rehabilitation through nursing procedures within their training and judgment, and participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with the clinical supervisor. The role also includes health counseling, emotional support, parental education, and coordination of care with other agencies and physician offices involved in patient care. Night shifts are available. New graduates and nurses with little or no experience may ask about the extern program and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Current, valid RN or LVN nursing license.
- Current, valid CPR card for healthcare workers.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and fill in when needed.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
- Current driver's license and auto insurance, and ability to operate an automobile.
- Able to be completely mobile to lift and transfer a patient.
- Able to perform average lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures to assist with patient treatment and rehabilitation, within the skills and judgment provided by the nurse's training.
- Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with the clinical supervisor.
- Provide health counseling, emotional support, and parental education.
- Coordinate care with other agencies and physician offices involved in patient care.
- Be willing to work a flexible schedule and fill in when needed.
- Lift and transfer patients between locations.
